Beautiful Moments to Remember
May 4-8, 2027
Capture a memory, a loved one, or a moment in time using textile techniques that add color, texture and intimacy. In this fiber workshop you will experiment with unconventional combinations of techniques, learn some essential skills and focus on your unique voice.
In this workshop, we embrace the “weird”, the Stranger Things, and the wonderful. We will experiment with mixed techniques and play with fiber while tuning into your personal artistic voice.
What to Expect:
· Textile Foundations: Explore the world of fabrics, threads, and essential notions.
· Drawing with Thread: Learn fundamental hand stitches and your sewing machine’s stitches to draw.
· The Sampler Notebook: Start an easy and simple reference guide of skills and ideas.
· Artist References: We’ll look at fiber artists who use these mediums to make powerful work
Let’s make something memorable together!
OPEN TO ALL SKILL LEVELS. Join us for a class centered on encouragement and the pure joy of making! We celebrate the creative process in a kind, flexible, and relaxed environment. Here, there are no mistakes—only opportunities to learn, pivot, or recycle your work into something brand new.
