The Building
Woodland Ridge Retreat was built in 1998 as a stand alone luxury hotel addition to the Creamery Restaurant and Inn. The design aesthetic was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and reflects the genius of the architect Paul Thomas.
A Place to Create
Rest and Relax
The eight guest rooms are spacious and offer a boutique hotel inspired feeling. Each room sleeps three guests.
Each guest room features three full sized plush beds complete with down alternative pillows and comforters.
Every detail was thought of during the design of the building. Guest rooms have radiant in floor heating and central air conditioning. Walls are well insulated offering guests a very quiet night.
Room with a View
All of our guest rooms look out on the woodland behind the retreat. In the cooler months you can see to the lake just below.
Our neighbors John and Kathy, owners of Simply Dunn the home of Dunn County Pottery, keep hiking trails maintained in these woods. They have generously offered their private trails to our guests for use during their stay. Just a few blocks away you will find the Red Cedar State Bicycle Trail.
The Necessities
Each guest room has a large whirlpool bathtub and separate shower.
One Level Living
All amenities at Woodland Ridge Retreat are located on one level, with no steps to climb, allowing access to guests with disabilities.
Please be sure to indicate if you will need an ADA accessible guest room when booking your retreat.

Perennial flower beds brighten the entrance to the building. Beautiful walking paths in the woods and prairie provide for a landscape that fuels your creativity while relaxing you and removing your stress.
