Class Description

Chris Hornby is from Grand Haven, Michigan and is the owner of the Green Dragonfly Studio where she holds workshops in and around the area.  She is also the Director of the ‘Dragonfly on the Lakes Rug Camp’ in Cedar Lakes, West Virginia.  You can view her work on her Green Dragonfly Studio Facebook page. Chris also designs patterns which are available through Honey Bee Hive. One of her more well know works was displayed in ‘Celebration XXVI’ entitled Ever-Changing Landscapes of Colour Renewed which is an interesting take on the color wheel within a seasonal landscape.  Chris will approach the event as an ‘open class’ format. She would also  spend time instructing and discussing color and how to make planning a rug easier for those of us who tend to over-think this process. Chris will be bringing a supply of wool, patterns and other creative supplies.

This workshop is hosted by the Greater Midwest Teachers Guild which is affiliated with National Pearl K. McGown Guild.

The guild usually fills the 15 openings for this event from within its membership but is offering the remaining openings to intermediate to advanced rug hookers outside the guild’s membership.

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced (This workshop is not appropriate for beginners)
